Meet Ahmed Baghdady. Ahmed joined SESI Consulting Engineers in 2021 as a Senior Project Engineer and advanced to the role of Principal in 2026. With more than 20 years of geotechnical and construction experience, he has helped strengthen the firm’s capabilities in foundation engineering, urban development, and waterfront infrastructure projects throughout the United States and internationally.

Ahmed’s expertise includes high-rise foundation design, excavation support systems, seismic hazard assessments, embankment stability, and advanced geotechnical numerical analysis using the Finite Element Method (FEM). He has led multidisciplinary projects involving geotechnical and environmental investigations, soil liquefaction evaluations, retaining structures, dewatering systems, and flood protection infrastructure.

Throughout his career at SESI, Ahmed has worked closely with environmental teams, public agencies, and regulatory authorities, including the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) and the New York City Transit Authority, helping deliver practical and technically sound solutions for complex urban developments and Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) sites.
