A property on Rodney Street in Williamsburg NY, which was originally home to a single-story warehouse, had to be prepared for a seven-story development. The building’s ground floor will offer approximately 14,000 sq ft of retail space and the top 6 floors will split the remaining roughly 84,000 sq ft among 126 rental apartment units. SESI created a temporary excavation support system in order to create the proper foundation for the building. The site had buildings on surrounding properties which created a need to employ underpinning techniques. This project is expected to be completed in 2017.
