Metuchen caters to a major commuter community but was lacking enough parking spots for train travelers and the town did not have any open public spaces to enjoy. Woodmont Properties has come up with a beautiful solution, Pearl Street Piazza. Utilizing ground-level parking lots the group was able to build a town center. The new location offers 273 1- and 2- bedroom luxury units, 11,500 square feet of retail and restaurant space, a half-acre of public piazza – to be used for famers markets, concerts, etc—and 750 parking spaces.

SESI conducted the geotechnical investigation and design, and completed the site planning, layout, grading and draining. The site required removal of gas tanks from a previous gas-station business at the site. SESI removed 5 tanks with a combined capacity of 10k gallons. SESI’s LSRP carried out Phase I and Phase II of the process and issued a RAO after the completion of the job. SESI executed the site and foundation development, obtained city and DOT permits and oversaw construction. The group was proud to be part of this project which will be utilized by the whole community.
